Bing was born in Birmingham but grew up in Decatur, Alabama. His father and sister are both lawyers; his mother is too smart to practice law. Bing has worked for more than 20 years in Birmingham, mostly at a large, Birmingham-based firm. In 2017, he left to practice on his own.
Bing’s practice at Fortif is not too different from being at a big firm. He represents some of the best clients in the state on sophisticated legal and business matters. Being out on his own has allowed him to pick up some smaller businesses as clients, since he no longer has the overhead of a big firm.
Bing likes helping his clients think about issues in new ways. He thrives on finding legal solutions that meet a client’s needs, and he loves making Alabama a better place to live.
